UFC Charlotte: Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Jailton Almeida weigh-in results.
On May 13, the UFC is hitting the road for an underrated fight card in Charlotte, North Carolina. There are currently 12 matchups scheduled for UFC Charlotte, with every fighter looking to further their career by making a statement inside the Spectrum Center.
In the main event, two ranked heavyweights, No. 9 ranked Jairzinho Rozenstruik and No. 12 Jailton Almeida, hope to take another step toward a title shot. Since making his UFC debut in February 2022, Almeida has emerged as a legitimate future contender, winning his four Octagon appearances inside the distance.
Meanwhile, Rozenstruik is one of the most dangerous strikers in the UFC. He holds a 7-4 promotional record, and his power gives him the opportunity to defeat any heavyweight on the planet. Rozenstruik last fought in December 2022, defeating Chris Daukaus with a 23-second knockout.
The co-main event features an action-packed light heavyweight matchup between Johnny Walker and Anthony Smith. Walker is coming off back-to-back first-round finishes and hopes to continue his impressive run by taking out the always-dangerous Smith.
Before the UFC Charlotte matchups become official, every fighter must weigh in and be approved by the state commission.
During the weigh-ins, it was announced that the fight between Natan Levy and Pete Rodriguez was canceled due to "weight management" issues on Rodriguez's side.
Bryan Battle was heavy on the scales at 173 pounds for his fight with Gabe Green.
