MMA fans discuss the arrest warrant issued for Nate Diaz after he was caught on video choking a man on the street.

With being a mega star like Stockton’s own Nate Diaz, it is not surprising that the MMA world was set on fire after fans slowly learned about law enforcement’s involvement with the scuffle that took place on Friday in New Orleans, where Diaz was supporting his longtime teammate Chris Avila in a boxing match.

The street fight video showed Diaz choking out a man who had an uncanny resemblance to the current WWE star Logan Paul, who just happens to be the brother of Diaz’s next opponent Jake Paul. Diaz will be making his pro boxing debut against Paul on Aug 5

Unsanctioned violence that takes place in the streets always has a consequence and after the reports came out that the New Orleans Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Diaz for second-degree battery, every fight fan seems glued to the news.

Here is how the MMA community reacted to the news of the warrant being issued:

With the dust settling from the brawl this past weekend, it is unknown how this will affect his boxing matchup. Jake has already taken to social media to accept KSI as a backup opponent if Diaz’s legal troubles get in the way.

"Well, if that mean Jake won’t have an opponent in August…Then I’ll gladly come as the replacement after I KO Joe Fournier in May," KSI tweeted. Jake replied, "Great. I accept you as the backup opponent. Fight is at 185. There are no rehydration clauses. Stay in shape and we will give you a call if needed. Thanks buddy for being so humble and committed."

At press time, Diaz had not been taken into custody. We'll update if and when he does get arrested.
