Nate Diaz could be in serious trouble after NOPD issued a warrant for his arrest.

On Friday night in New Orleans, Nate Diaz was caught on video choking a man unconscious on the street. There was no context to the video, but the man who was later identified at Rodney Petersen claims he thinks Diaz thought he was Logan Paul.

According to MMA Fighting, who spoke with the New Orleans police, an arrest warrant has been issued for Diaz and he's being charged with second-degree battery.

The outlet spoke with Karen A. Boudrie a NOPD spokesperson who said that the warrant had been issued, but Diaz was not in custody at press time.

They say they issued the charge "after gathering videos of the incident in which Diaz allegedly choked unconscious Logan Paul lookalike Rodney Peterson amid a brawl that spilled out of a bar."

Petersen took to socail media shortly after the incident to show off head injuries and speak about the moment.

"So I don't know what the hell I did to Nate Diaz," he says in the video. "But I'm telling you what... I'm gonna knock him the f--K out. Like, you caught me off guard dude. Did you think I was Logan? What the f--K?"

Diaz is supposed to fight Jake Paul, Logan's brother in a boxing match in August. There's no word on if this potential arrest or charges could derail that.

Diaz was also caught on camera throwing a water bottle at a boxer during an event just hours before the video on the street was shared.
