Patchy Mix knocks out Raufeon Stots at Bellator 295.
Bellator 295 saw Raufeon Stots and Patchy Mix finish the Bellator Bantamweight Grand Prix in front of a very hot Honolulu crowd. Both men came into the fight with a wrestling background, and personal motivation to come in and take the title.
For Mix, he hasn't lost since his last title fight, a loss to Juan Archuleta in 2020. He arguably went through the toughest two fights in the division, defeating Japanese MMA icon Kyoji Horiguchi and Russan submission expert Magomed Magomedov. Stots didn't have an easy time by any means, defeating Juan Archuleta and Danny Sabatello to earn his way into the finals of the Bellator Bantamweight Grand Prix.
When the two men met, the final fight in the Grand Prix wouldn't last long, as Mix dropped Stots early into the first round with a perfect looking knee, that rendered Stots out cold. The knee gave Mix the title and fans on Twitter had big feelings about the fight.
