"I finish my fights, I give a show to everybody. This belt is my belt. This belt is Amanda's (Nunes) belt. It's a Brazilian belt. This is for Amanda Nunes, this is for my country... This is for my team, my coaches, this is for my family," said Bueno Silva who opened the interview speaking Portuguese detailing the depression she was dealing with prior to the fight.

When Amanda Nunes retired and vacated her championships after her victory at UFC 289, it created an opportunity for every woman in the UFC women's bantamweight division. The UFC has not decided which women will fight for the vacant bantamweight title. Both Holm and Bueno Silva entered Saturday's main event knowing a victory could catapult them into a title fight.
Bueno Silva entered Las Vegas as the 10th-ranked UFC women's bantamweight fighter. After fighting her first five UFC fights at flyweight, Bueno Silva decided to move up to bantamweight. The division has paid off. Bueno Silva won her first three fights at bantamweight. In her last fight, Bueno Silva earned a performance bonus after she scored a second-round submission. With her victory over Holm, Bueno Silva instantly become a top contender in the division.
Holm, who turns 42 years old later this year is chasing one last championship reign. At UFC 193, Holm shocked the world, knocking out Ronda Rousey to win the bantamweight title. Holm would lose the championship at UFC 196 to Miesha Tate in her only title defense. As her career went on, Holm would challenge for UFC titles three more times, losing all three fights. Holm entered Saturday's fight as the third ranked women's bantamweight and won three of her last four fights.
