UFC schedule: Which fighters are fighting this weekend?
UFC Schedule: The UFC kicked off the second half of the year with UFC Vegas 76 and, this coming weekend, UFC 290 takes place. The UFC's 290th PPV event finds itself nestled in the 2023 International Fight Week festivities and it's a stacked event. Here are all the fighters competing this weekend.
UFC 290 will be live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday, July 8. Two championship fights headline the card and will be a star-studded event as legends of the past and present will be in town for the International Fight Week festivities, especially the UFC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Thursday, July 6.
As for the fighters who will be taking to the octagon, this card will surely leave fans satisfied with the variety of fighting styles on offer and the different opportunities at stake.
UFC schedule: Which UFC fighters are competing this weekend?
MMA in July is starting the second half of the year strong with the UFC 290 card. The main event will feature Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez in their featherweight title unification bout, whilst the co-main event will witness Brandon Moreno put his 125-pound title on the line against no. 2-ranked Brandon Pantejo.
The rest of the main card consists of fights that could also see major divisional shifts including the middleweight title eliminator between Robert Whittaker and Dricus du Plessis, as well as Jalin Turner clashing against Dan Hooker in their lightweight fight. The main card curtain-raiser will also be a middleweight affair as Bo Nickal and Tresean Gore come to trade blows.
While all eyes will be on the two title fights headlining the card, the UFC 290 card promises some hard-hitting action all around. The early prelim card features five fights before the prelim card's four. These nine preceding bouts to the main card bring the total of fights to 14 fights, featuring 28 fighters.
