UFC schedule: Which fighters are fighting this weekend?
By Amy Kaplan
On Saturday, July 29, the UFC will host arguably the best PPV of the year in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Topping the card is a BMF title fight between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje who will fight to find out who will be the "Baddest Mother-F***er" in the UFC. Jorge Masvidal previously held the honors but gave his blessing for the title to be awarded to a new man now that he's retired.
The co-main event is a light heavyweight fight between former champion Jan Blachowicz who will square off with divisional debut fighter Alex Pereira. Many had hoped the fight might be made a title fight now that the light heavyweight division is without a champion, but so far, that hasn't been made.
Fans will also see the return of Tony Ferguson who hasn't fought in the UFC since Sept. 2022 when he lost to Nate Diaz at UFC 279. He'll be looking for his first win since 2019 after suffering five straight losses.
Here's a breakdown of everyone fighting this weekend.
