The UFC makes a much-anticipated return to Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday, July 29 with a potential MMA barnburner as the main event.
UFC 291 will take place at Salt Lake City's Vivint Arena, previously known as Delta Center, and will stream live on ESPN+ on pay-per-view. Tickets for the event went live in May and have been primarily available through UFC's official partner, ticketmaster.com. UFC 291 tickets on ticketmaster.com currently start from $389 for the gallery seats and go up to $3,500-4,000 for the cage-side seats.
UFC 291 tickets can be purchased on several other vendor sites as well. Prices start from $345 on seatgeek.com, $351 on vividseats.com, $364 on gametime.com, and $373 on stubhub.com. It must be noted that all the prices are subject to change and will likely be steeper closer to the event.
UFC 291: Who is fighting on the card?
The headlining fight of UFC 291 is a Fight of the Year candidate between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje for the vacant BMF title. The No. 2 and 3-ranked lightweights previously fought each other in April 2018 at UFC on Fox 29. Poirier had emerged victorious in that bout with a fourth-round TKO win.
UFC president Dana White has agreed to let the previous owner of the belt, Jorge Masvidal, present the BMF title to the winner of the rematch. The victor is also likely to be in the discussion for the next 155 lbs. title shot against Islam Makhachev.
The co-main event is a light heavyweight contender fight between former titleholder Jan Blachowicz and former middleweight champion Alex Pereira. With the previous 205 lbs. champion Jamahal Hill announcing that he will be vacating the light heavyweight title owing to his Achilles injury, there are rumors that the Pereira vs. Blachowicz fight will be promoted to a title bout.
Featuring other exciting fighters like Paulo Costa, Tony Ferguson, Kevin Holland, Derrick Lewis, and Stephen Thompson, the stacked UFC 291 card promises to be one of the best of the year.
