UFC Nashville: Cory Sandhagen vs. Rob Font card, start time, channel guide, betting odds
Cory Sandhagen was originally scheduled to face off against rising phenom, Umar Nurmagomedov, this Saturday but Nurmagomedov was forced to withdraw from the bout approximately two weeks ago. The short-notice change has led to an agreed catchweight bout at 140 pounds against Rob Font.
The featured prelim should also be fireworks the bantamweight division with Dana White Contender Series alum, Kyler Phillips, taking on Raoni Barcelos. Phillips will be looking for his fifth win in six fights on his way to the bantamweight top 15.
Two other fights on the main card will likely have ranking implications come Monday. Dustin Jacoby (No. 15 LHW) will be taking on unranked Kennedy Nzechukwu, with the latter on a three-fight win streak and looking to take Jacoby’s number Saturday night. Jessica Andrade (No. 5) will enter the Octagon for the fourth time this year as she takes on Tatiana Suarez (No. 10), who is in her second fight back from an extended layoff and rapidly entering title contention.
This would have been an opportune spot to highlight Nate Landwehr and Trevor Peek, who both have ties to Tennessee and just had fights in June of this year. In their absence, we can at least enjoy what should be an exciting night of matchmaking where only two fighters are currently larger than -250 favorites.
