UFC Charlotte: Jailton Almeida easily submits Jairzinho Rozenstruik (Video)
Jailton Almeida is most likely now a top-10 heavyweight after submitting Jairzinho Rozenstruik in one round at UFC Charlotte
About 15 months into his UFC run now, and Jailton Almeida has gone on a finishing tear, with Jairzinho Rozenstruik his most recent victim in the UFC Charlotte main event.
Rozenstruik landed a strong one-two as Almeida went in for a takedown almost immediately, but Almeida scored one 30 seconds into the fight. Almeida looked to get into the mount, but Rozenstruik struggled enough to prevent Almeida from doing much.
Almeida, however, managed to land mount with about 90 seconds left in the first round and had no problem securing the choke.

Almeida entered the UFC after a noteworthy appearance on Dana White's Contender Series, where he pulled off an upset submission of Nasrudin Nasrudinov.
Prior to tonight, Almeida's UFC run saw him submit Parker Porter and Anton Turkalj and submit Danilo Marques and Shamil Abdurakhimov.
