For the very first time in MMA history, ONE Championship will have the opportunity to show a US crowd exactly what they are all about. This Friday, May 5, live from the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colorado, ONE Fight Night 10 takes place with lots of anticipation and intrigue behind the event.
Whether the show is a success or not, we are yet to see, however, ONE Championship has made sure to almost guarantee an electric night of fights given the card they have set up. The main event sees the return of a man who many consider to be the MMA G.O.A.T. to the US for the first time since he left the UFC.
Demetrious Johnson (24-4-1) will defend his ONE flyweight title against an opponent he knows all too well. Adriano Moraes (20-4), a former three-time ONE flyweight champion, will be looking to exact his revenge and take his title back with him. The two will finally bury their rivalry, with whoever wins walking away from Colorado with the belt and the trilogy.
That's far from it though. The co-main event sees current No.1 pound-for-pound Muay Thai fighter Rodtang Jitmuagnon defend his ONE flyweight Muay Thai belt against Edgar Tabares. Another title is on the line when Mikey Musumeci defends his ONE flyweight submission grappling title when he faces Osamah Almarwai.
With three title fights in three distinct combat sports and some of ONE Championship's biggest stars such as Stamp Fairtex, Reinier de Ridder, and Sage Northcutt all competing, their US debut could not come any sooner.
