Minnesota Timberwolves star has been ejected after punching teammate Kyle Anderson.

Cyril Gane and Nassourdine Imavov have some competition for best French MMA fighter on the planet as Minnesota Timberwolves star defensive center Rudy Gobert has been ejected from the game after throwing a punch at teammate Kyle Anderson.

Gobert and Anderson got into a heated exchange during a timeout, and the argument turned physical after Gobert snapped off a straight right hand that landed flush before escaping out of range before Anderson could respond with a strike of his own. The fight was stopped after Gobert landed a straight right hand that rivals Kamaru Usman’s legendary one punch KO on Jorge Masvidal.

This comes at a very poor time for the Timberwolves, as the NBA playoffs begin this week and the Timberwolves will have to secure a playoff spot through the NBA’s play-in tournament, and now the team has shown clear chemistry issues. The Timberwolves traded for Gobert last summer in what has been a horrendous trade for them, especially as Gobert now might be showing a future in MMA.

Gobert is currently 0-0 in professional MMA, but with Timberwolves fans hating him, could we see him become the next Stefan Struve, as a 7 foot tall MMA fighter. The PFL has been signing a lot of former UFC stars in recent months, could they now look to sign an NBA star?

There has been some decent NBA and MMA overlap recently with Chael Sonnen claiming that him and arguably the best player in NBA history LeBron James have the same PED dealer, however, now we have a guy maybe trying to show Dana White that he should be on the next season of the Contender Series.
