MMA Twitter has a field day with memes & tweets after Bryce Mitchell pulls out of UFC 288

Bryce Mitchell is out of his UFC 288 bout and Twitter is enjoying the aftermath.
Bryce Mitchell has always been a bit of a controversial figure in the UFC. He's got very loud political opinions and oftentimes spouts conspiracy theories (like the earth is flat) during his official interviews.
So when news broke on Tuesday that he was out of his UFC 288 bout, MMA Twitter went to work doing what they do best ... poke fun.
Some fans pointed out how shocked they were that he was injured after he was seen with a mysterious purple color on his shoulder. They were, of course, being sacrastic and were not shocked in the least.

Others used the flat earth references in their jokes.

Some just lamented about how terrible the UFC 288 card is turning out to be and how upset they were about the injury.

This is the second time a fight between Mitchell and Movsar Evolev has been scrapped. Earlier this year it was Evolev who pulled out. Now, instead of Mitchell it will be Diego Lopes at UFC 288.
