Michael "Venom" Page did not hesitate on Friday night during the opening bout of Bellator 292. The striking star came into the fight against Goiti Yamauchi looking to land some new specific kicks on Yamauichi. And boy, did he. The striker landed a knee kick seconds into the fight drop Yamauichi. Yamauchi's knee exploded, with his kneecap popping and sliding up in his knee.
The kick was brutal and the injury even more so. It was a moment in time that would send the entire MMA world into chaos. While seeing injuries happen in real time isn't a new thing, seeing a knee explode upwards and inwards was certainly new for many to be part of.
The fight community as a whole had a huge reaction to the injury, which kept Yamauchi on the mat for a good long while. Of course, being a bunch of fight fans, their reactions ranged from concern to hilarious.
We'll update ON Yamauchi's injury when it's own.
