Lee Hammond reveals gruesome cut in TUF 31 fight (Photo)

On Tuesday night Lee Hammond suffered a heartbreaking loss after dominating the fight for two rounds. He was looking to be the first win for team Conor McGregor but instead tapped to a submission in the final moments of the fight bringing the team to 0-6.

During the fight some fans spotted a nasty cut on his leg which appeared to open in the first round. And now Hammond's taken to Twitter to share just how gross it really was.

"5 seconds into the fight vs Kurt I checked his kick and this happened," he tweeted. "20 stitches job 10 inside 10 outside right on the kneecap! Bastard of a cut. Maddest sport ever anything can happen, two men trained and in shape trying to kill eachother! can't wait for the next one."

Hammond suffered his first loss, though it will not go on his pro record as it's just an exhibition fight.
