Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia preview and prediction ahead of their main event clash on Feb. 22.

The star-studded super fight is days away where Gervonta "Tank" Davis (28-0) and "King" Ryan Garcia (23-0) face each other in the boxing ring and put their undefeated records up for stakes. The bout came to fruition in November when the two young and talented fighters agreed to fight at a 136-pound catchweight, and superstardom will be awaiting one of them on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

After the chitter chatter back and forth throughout the years, the boxing world is presented with a gift because in this sport it's a rarity that two undefeated breakout boxers carrying an aurora of confidence and captivating personalities face each other so early in their career, but that changes when the gloves touch (or don't) and the bell rings.

Davis currently holds the WBA "regular" lightweight and he retained it earlier this year when he defeated WBA junior lightweight champion, Hector Luis Garcia due to a corner retirement in the 8th round. The stoppages continue to stack up at 26 and the power in his deadly left hand looks to put Garcia away for good when it makes contact.

Garcia faces the toughest test in this career and plans to defy the odds and stun Davis with his speed and his signature left hook as he's done before against former champions like Javier Fortuna, Emmanuel Tagoe, and Luke Campbell. The 24-year-old phenom decided not to take a tune-up fight to prepare for Davis and last fought in July 2022 when he overwhelmed and dominated Fortuna in a 6th-round TKO.

Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia prediction

At the lightweight class of 135 pounds, it's factors such as speed, precision, and footwork that will edge you from the rest of the competition, but Davis's power is an anomaly, and like dynamite will finish you if it touches you. Davis just needs one moment and the opportunity to add another highlight to his montage, but the 28-year-old is technically sound and as a southpaw will utilize his jab to set up his left-straight, which will later establish other power punches such as his devastating uppercut and lethal body shots.

Garcia fights out with the orthodox stance and ironically his lead left hook is what causes problems for others, and in the Fortuna fight he revealed a weapon that will shut down his opponents if they decide to deter with their back foot and that's the hook to the body. With him being lean and lanky, he holds the advantages in reach by 2.5 inches and height by 4.5 inches.

Garcia will probably attempt to stand his ground in the early rounds and will have some spurts of success but predominantly Davis will lead the dance and dictate where the fight goes to the threat of the power of his left-hand holds. There will be some close and contested rounds and while Garcia is a challenge to catch Davis in the later rounds will cover his ground and land a devastating blow that will slow down and halt Garcia. Garcia has been knocked down before when he faced Campbell but recovering from Davis' shot would be a first since the majority have fallen and given in.

Garcia will need to use his speed and manage his distance to catch the end of Davis' power punches to frustrate him and encourage himself to go forward. Davis is the shorter fighter here in the exchanges so he will have to pressure forward and work behind his jab to set up his undeniable left hand and other boxing combinations. When Davis's left-hand lands how much will it affect Garcia and for how long will Garcia be able to recover and survive? The mega-fight can end up going to the scorecards with Davis winning via unanimous decision, but it will more likely end in the 8th or 9th- round via TKO.

Prediction: Gervonta Davis via 9th round TKO
