The UFC Vegas 79 main event was cut short when Rafael Fiziev suffered an injury in the fight. He was
Fiziev was on his way to a potential win over Mateusz Gamrot having 10-9'd Gamrot in the first round, before the injury stopped the fight in the second.
Fiziev threw a kick and collapsed to the mat just two minutes into the second round. Gamrot earned a TKO win due to the injury.
After the fight he revealed he'd injured his ACL, "My ACL said SalamAlykom and ran off!" he joked on Instagram on Sept. 25.
He underwent surgery just a few weeks later.
