UFC fighter Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone and controversial figure Andrew Tate have been going back and forth with each other on social media and we've broken down the timeline of events for those that might be coming into this beef late.
Adam22 revealed that Cowboy Cerrone told him Andrew Tate can't fight
It all started when Adam22, a popular podcaster told Tate that Cerrone wasn't impressed with his fighting skills. Tate has a 76-9 kickboxing record and a 2-1 professional MMA record.
Andrew Tate responded to Cowboy Cerrone's remarks 'let him say it to my face'
Tate didn't seem phased by those remarks, and responded to the now-retired UFC Hall of Famer.
"Let him say it to my face and try to take me on. I'm more than ready to defend my skills. He'll definitely regret challenging me," said Tate on his podcast. “As for Cerrone, I’ve heard of him. Didn’t McGregor finish him pretty quick? He thinks I can’t fight, then if he wants to tell me to my face and kick my ass, he’s welcome to try. I strongly believe he will regret that decision, and that’s as far as I need to take it.”
After those comments Cerrone posted a video elaborating his views on Tate, and they aren't good.
Cowboy Cerrone wants to fight Andrew Tate on the Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg card
Cerrone says Tate who he says avoided boxing his friend Joe Schilling.
“Back in the day when me and Joe Schilling used to watch videos of you (Tate) to try and want to fight you, you always ran like a little girl your entire career. Are you kidding me? I’m (going to) knock the s**t out of you. I’m a real fighter. You’re a fake bulls**t wannabe fighter who made up a bunch of world championship belts that you bought off eBay," Cerrone said.
He also suggested they fight on the proposed card which will feature a fight between Twitter CEO Elon Musk and Facebook and Instagram founder, Mark Zuckerberg.
Andrew Tate is on house arrest, accused of rape and human trafficking
Tate is under house arrest in Bucharest after being picked up and detained for several crimes in December 2023.
According to the BBC, he and his brother Tristan are being held on suspicion of "rape, human trafficking, and forming an organized crime group to sexually exploit women."
"I love this country... and I look forward to being found innocent," Tate said while leaving court last month, according to the outlet.
The Tate brothers have built their personas as hyper-masculine and live an ultra-luxurious lifestyle.
Tate recently got into a public Twitter exchange with 20-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg who tweeted back that Tate had "small dick energy."
