There is no denying that the UFC has created something iconic and is the pioneer promotion for mixed martial arts.

With social media influencers like Jake and Logan Paul dipping their toe into the combat sports world, and the splash that was felt from competing against legends like Anderson Silva and Floyd Mayweather Jr., it has created a buzz both positive and negative. Mixed martial arts have become so big there is a legit conversation for Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg.

But what would happen if the UFC and Dana White really made this fight happen?

For the business side of the UFC, it would be a no-brainer for them to put on what would be a fight for the ages between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg - no matter their skill level when it comes to mixed martial arts. It would 100 percent tap into so many markets that, financially, it would be like winning the lottery.

Sure, the money would be bountiful, but the real question is if the UFC is willing to risk their reputation for one fight. Now we know that at times MMA fans can become a fickle bunch as we have seen in the past, and you can already see the divide on social media.

There are many, many questions that can only be answered if or when the UFC actually does the fight. Could the Musk and Zuckerberg fight tarnish so much of what the UFC empire has built? Would it scare off the current talent and push them in a direction like PFL or Bellator?

It is a high risk when it comes to the UFC’s reputation being chewed up and spit out, but the naysayers need to think that if the UFC doesn’t do it some other promotion will.

If the potential dream, gimmick or Twitter vs. Facebook fight - whatever people will call Musk and Zuckerberg - let’s just hope every man and woman on the roster will see some sort of bonus when it comes time for the UFC to cash in on the massive payday.
