5 UFC fighters with the best boxing, and 1 with the worst
2. Alex Pereira
Alex "Poatan" Pereira isn't just one of the best boxers in the UFC - he's one of the most accomplished strikers in combat sports history.
Before joining the UFC in 2021, Pereira was an accomplished kickboxer. He won titles in both the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions, collecting 21 knockouts through his kickboxing career. Famously, two of those wins came against current UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya - including one via knockout.
While Pereira is still relatively new to the sport of MMA, he's already collected UFC gold by beating Adesanya via TKO at UFC 281. Of his 7 wins in MMA, 6 have come via knockout - all involving punches.
What makes Pereira's boxing stand out is his signature technique - his devastating left hook. In fact, Pereira's left hook is widely considered to be one of, if not the, most powerful punches across combat sports. It's so powerful that he was able to land a KO over Sean Strickland at UFC 276, despite Strickland being regarded for having some of the best boxing defense in the UFC.
With Pereira making the move from middleweight up to light heavyweight, there's a possibility he could become a double-champ in two combat sports - all made possible through his incredible boxing.
