4. How many returning 2022 champions will secure the strap a second time?
In 2022 the PFL crowned six new champions:
- Larissa Pacheco - Women's lightweight champion
- Brendan Loughnane featherweight champion
- Ante Delija heavyweight champion
- Olivier Aubin-Mercier lightweight champion
- Sadibou Sy welterweight champion
- Rob Wilkinson light heavyweight champion
Of the six champions all were slated to return in 2023. But heavyweight champion Ante Delija is out of the season due to an injury which means there's a possibility for a new heavyweight kingpin.
Pacheco will be competing in the featherweight division, not lightweight this season.
