UFC San Antonio: Marlon Vera vs. Cory Sandhagen results.
The UFC returns to San Antonio for the first time since July 2019, with a potential bantamweight title shot on the line. Marlon Vera, who has won four straight, looks to take out former interim title challenger Cory Sandhagen, who hopes to make it two straight. Sandhagen lost to Petr Yan for the interim title at UFC 267 but bounced back with a win against Song Yadong at UFC Vegas 60.
Vera has taken out former champions Frankie Edgar and Dominick Cruz along with four performance bonuses on his way to challenging for his first title. In the co-main event, former women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm, who just signed a new six-fight contract this week, is looking to get back in the win column against Yana Santos (formerly Kunitskaya). This will be Santo's first fight since her pregnancy and is also looking to get back on the winning track.
The main card is rounded out by women's flyweights Maycee Barber, who is on a three-fight win streak, and former LFA champion Andrea Lee, followed by former flyweight title challenger Alex Perez, who is looking to avoid his third straight loss, and Manel Kape who has won three straight. The rest of the card features, among others, Dana White Contender Series winners including Manuel Torres, Victor Altamirano, and Vinicius Salvador.
