The UFC is back after one of its top pay-per-views of the year UFC 287 and is going to Kansas City for the first time since 2017. Former featherweight champion Max Holloway is returning after a loss to current champion Alexander Volkanovski and faces England's Arnold Allen, who is currently riding a 12-fight win streak.
Holloway is 2-2 since losing his title to Volkanovski, and those two losses are against the current champ, but he's given us Fight of the Night main events against Calvin Kattar and current interim champion Yair Rodriguez. Allen is undefeated since joining the UFC in 2015, going 10-0 which includes wins over Gilbert Melendez, Sodiq Yusuff, Dan Hooker, and most recently Kattar, a fight in which Kattar injured his knee in the second round.
The co-main event features Edson Barboza, who is winless in his last two, against Billy Quarantillo, who has alternated wins and losses since starting out 3-0 in the UFC. Also on the card is a bantamweight showdown between Pedro Munhoz and Chris Guitteriez, Clay Guida's 35th fight with the UFC, and a potential flyweight contender fight between Brandon Royval and Matheus Nicolau.
