The Ian Garry hype train rolls on, and now he'll be a welterweight contender following his win over Daniel Rodriguez at UFC Charlotte.
Rodriguez started the fight out on the front foot, but Garry kept him at bay when trying to come in, landing low kicks and body shots.
One body kick in particular got Rodriguez to drop his hands. Garry used that to set up a head kick that dropped Rodriguez, with Garry finishing him off with follow-up strikes.

Garry, hyped as the next big Irish MMA star for UFC, is now a perfect 12-0, with a 5-0 record in the Octagon since his November 2021 UFC debut at UFC 268.
Garry called out Neil Magny after the fight, stating in his post-fight interview that taking out the top-10 welterweight gatekeeper will allow him access to a major showdown.
