The UFC seems to have taken 'international fight week' to a whole new meaning by bringing us 'international fight month.' For the second time in July, on Saturday, July 29, the UFC will host a pay-per-view event, and much like UFC 290 earlier in the month, UFC 291 promises to be an electric night of violence from beginning to end.
Nothing is bigger than the highly anticipated rematch between Dustin Poirier (29-7) and Justin Gaethje (24-4). Not only is a potential shot at the title in play but the chance to become the second-ever BMF champion. Their first encounter has etched its name in MMA history as being one of the best fights of all-time and it'll be surprising to see anything other than a barnburner in Salt Lake City.
That's far from it though. Former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira (7-2) makes his light heavyweight debut against former 205-pound champion Jan Błachowicz (29-9-1) in a matchup that probably won't need the judges' scorecards. Tony Ferguson (25-8) also returns, along with the likes of Stephen Thompson (17-6-1) and Kevin Holland (24-9) to ensure UFC 291 does not disappoint.
