UFC 291: Justin Gaethje crowned new BMF champ after nasty head kick knockout of Dustin Poirier (VIDEO)

Everyone knew that Dustin Poirier vs. Justin Gaethje was going to be a banger, but no one saw this coming.
They touched gloves to start the fight, these two guys might be absolutely brutal in the cage but they are highly respectful.
The round opened with leg and body kicks but when the Salt Lake City crowd began chanting Gaethje's name he let his hands go and landed several combinations with very little back from Poirier in the exchanges. Of course, Poirier was no slouch but Gaethje's low kicks were pestering Poirier and you could tell. With about a minute left in the round Poirier began to get the better shots, putting Gaethje against the cage and opening a cut above his left eye.
Round two opened with the crowd now chanting Poirier and not Gaethje. Those fickle fans.
But then out of nowhere Gaethje landed a perfectly timed head kick, knocking out Poirier in the second round.
"I believed in myself the whole time," Gathje said to Joe Rogan after the fight.
