Combine a stacked card of talent, young and old, with the UFC's annual International Fight Week, and you got a heavily-hyped card with a lot of expectations. And it's safe to say UFC 290 more than delivered.

A sold-out crowd of 19,204 packed the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV, to give the UFC a gate of $9.75 million for UFC 290.

The flyweight championship co-main event between Brandon Moreno and Alexandre Pantoja was named Fight of the Night, while Dricus du Plessis and Denise Gomes were awarded performance bonuses.

All four individuals walked away with an extra $50,000 in their pockets.

Moreno and Pantoja delivered a bloody, back-and-forth war, with both men laying everything down inside the Octagon. Ultimately, however, Pantoja's grappling appeared to win over two of the three judges on the scorecards, giving him the split decision victory and the UFC flyweight championship.

Prior to that, Dricus du Plessis managed to score a second-round finish of Robert Whittaker to secure a future shot at Israel Adesanya and the UFC middleweight championship. The two had a major confrontation in the cage afterward.

During the preliminary card, Gomes pulled off a shocker against Yazmin Jauregui, rocking her with the first punch of the fight and quickly flurrying en route to a finish in 20 seconds — handing Jauregui the first loss of her career.
