UFC 286: Who, what, where, why & when
Everything you need to know about UFC 286: Leon Edwards vs. Kamaru Usman 3.
Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman will run it back for a third time at UFC 286 as Edwards looks to defend his title for the first time, and Usman tries to regain his UFC gold.
Usman beat Edwards in their first fight in 2015, repeatedly taking Edwards down and controlling him on the ground. Edwards exacted his revenge in August 2022 at UFC 278 with a shocking fifth-round head kick that sent Usman to the ground. Now they will do battle for a third time with the UFC welterweight strap on the line.
The co-main event features hard-hitting Justin Gaethje vs. Rafael Fiziev. Gaethje is a must-see whenever he steps into the Octagon and Fiziev has won his last six fights, including his KO win over Rafael dos Anjos last July.

Why should you watch UFC 286?
Usman was the most dominant welterweight champ since Georges St. Pierre, defending his title five times before Edwards handed him his first loss since 2013 with that massive head kick at UFC 278. Usman was ahead on all three of the judges' scorecards 39-37 before Edwards ended it in the fifth round, and this rematch has both fighters and fans pumped.
The co-main event is equally as intriguing with the electric Justin Gaethje taking on Rafael Fiziev, who is coming off back-to-back KO wins. Gaethje has dropped two of his last four fights, but the losses were to Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira. Gaethje needs a win as he aims for a third shot at the UFC lightweight title.
Fiziev has made many fans throughout his six-fight win streak. His wheel kick KO of Brad Riddell was amazing, and he followed that up by knocking out former champ Rafael dos Anjos last July. Fiziev has earned five consecutive post-fight bonuses and Gaethje is always must-see TV.
The main card also features Marvin Vettori and Roman Dolidze in a battle between two top-10 middleweights, Jiu-Jitsu specialist Gunnar Nelson against the gritty Bryan Barbarena, and undefeated Casey O'Neill takes on Jennifer Maia in a flyweight battle between two ranked fighters. O'Neill racked up 229 significant strikes against Roxanne Modafferi in her last bout at UFC 271.
