Ranking every Ultimate Fighter winner
10. Kelvin Gastelum
Kelvin Gastelum competed in and won Ultimate Fighter 17: Team Jones vs. Team Sonnen, fighting for Team Sonnen. Gastelum came into TUF with a 5-0 record all coming by finish and was the last fighter picked in the house. Gastelum beat Kito Andrews, Bubba McDaniel, Collin Hart, and Josh Samman before upsetting the heavy season favorite Uriah Hall in the middleweight final.
Gastelum moved to welterweight and went 6-2, but struggled with making weight, moving back up to middleweight in 2016. Gastelum would go 3-1 and fight Israel Adesanya for the interim title, losing on the scorecards but giving the fans a fight-of-the-year candidate. Gasteum has been 1-4 since and is currently on a two-fight losing streak. Gastelum is scheduled to face Chris Curtis at UFC 287.
9. Nate Diaz
One of the most popular fighters of our era, Stockton's Nat Diaz competed in and won Ultimate Fighter 5, coached by Jens Pulver and BJ Penn. Diaz was 5-2 with all finishes before joining the TUF house, running through Rob Emerson, Corey Hill, and Gray Maynard before beating Manny Gamburyan in the lightweight final for Team Pulver. Diaz would go on a five-fight win streak from there and then would go on another winning streak, earning a lightweight title shot against Benson Henderson.
Diaz would come up short but have a lustrous career with the UFC. Diaz would go 16-11 with 16 bonus performances and holds wins over the likes of Takanori Gomi, Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, Jim Miller, Anthony Pettis, Tony Ferguson, and Conor McGregor. Diaz/McGregor is one of the most talked about rivalries ever, as we're still waiting on the rubber match if it ever comes to fruition. Diaz is currently a free agent after his win at UFC 279, with the fight world waiting to see where he continues his career next.
