PFL 3: Olivier Aubin-Mercier vs. Shane Burgos results, highlights, recaps [UPDATED LIVE]

The first leg of the 2023 Professional Fighters League season concludes tonight with the PFL lightweights and welterweights kicking off their season with PFL 3 at the Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas.

The main event of the evening will see last year's PFL lightweight champion Olivier Aubin-Mercier welcoming fellow UFC veteran Shane Burgos to the PFL cage.

Aubin-Mercier enters on a six-fight win streak. Last season saw OAM earn decision wins over Natan Schulte and Raush Manfio in the regular season before a decision win over Alex Martinez in the semifinals and a second-round knockout of Stevie Ray in the finals.

This will be the PFL debut for Burgos, who left the UFC as a ranked lightweight contender in free agency last year. Burgos had been scheduled to make his PFL debut at the PFL's inaugural pay-per-view in November last year but was forced out of the bout due to an injury.

Burgos will enter this fight off back-to-back decision wins over Billy Quarantillo and Charles Jourdain.

The co-main event will also be a lightweight contest, as Clay Collard takes on Yamato Nishikawa. The featured welterweight contest sees Carlos Leal take on David Zawada.

Heavyweights Cezar Ferreira and Denis Goltsov will also duke it out on this card.

Take note that there will be no prelims. The five-fight main card will air prior to a seven-fight post-lim card.

RECAP: It didn't take long for Umalatov to land a perfectly timed right hand that dropped Taylor who was then finished with stirkes in the very first round. Umalatov earns six points with the win.
