Muhammad Mokaev gives UFC 286 knee injury update following a nasty kneebar attempt by Jafel Filho.

Many MMA fans can't understand how Muhammad Mokaev didn't tap to what looked like the total destruction of his knee.

But he didn't, and not only did he survive the submission attempt, he bounced back to defeat Jafel Filho via rear-naked choke.

But despite getting out of the kneebar, Mokaev isn't in the clear, medically.

"I will do MRI tomorrow morning," he tweeted on Sunday. "I hope it’s all good but I can’t walk at the moment but I’m still very happy with my performance."

During his post-fight interview Mokaev revealed he was dealing with a shoulder injury leaning into the fight.

“If you want, I can send you my scan,” Mokaev said (h/t MMAFighting). “It was serious. I couldn’t even put my T-shirt on.”

Mokaev remains undefeated on his journey to being the youngest UFC champion of all-time.
