Celebrities who train MMA: Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher burst onto the acting scene as Michael Kelso in the show That 70’s show. He was 20 years old and quickly rose to stardom. Since he has dabbled in many activities while continuing to act. An avid outdoorsman, Kutcher was even named a football coach at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles briefly. He is a advocate for many meaningful cause, which he promotes through his social media and speeches. He is also a Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner.

Kutcher made headlines when we announced his BJJ promotion to purple belt. Kutcher who trains under Rigan Machado who is an 8 degree black belt himself. Kutcher’s promotion caught the eyes of UFC commentator Joe Rogan who had some praise for the actor.

“If Rigan Machado give you a purple belt then you are a purple belt,” Rogan said on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. “You gotta roll, you have to roll with people. They don’t just give you that.

Machado backed up his pupil in an interview with BJPenn.com.

“He’s a phenomenal wrestler, I think people don’t know, but his background in wrestling is a very high level. I was shocked.” He said.“He has the long legs, the body size like Roger Gracie. Great balance as a wrestler.”

Machado also said he would put his money on Kutcher winning over Conor McGregor in a grappling match.

Kutcher is also a fan of MMA and has attended many UFC fights in his days. He can often be seen sitting cage side with his wife Mila Kunis.
