Celebrities who train MMA: Scott Eastwood

Scott Eastwood is the son of legendary actor/director Clint Eastwood. Making a name for himself with his recent roles in Pacific Rim Uprising, The Fate of the Furious, and Overdrive, Eastwood uses jiu-jitsu to stay in top shape for his active roles.

Eastwood was recently a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast where he spoke with Rogan about his passion for jiu-jitsu and how the late Paul Walker got him started on the mats.

“One of my good pals that passed away got me into jiu-jitsu, Paul Walker,” Eastwood said. “He got me into it 6 years ago, maybe more now. He was die-hard, he had a place in Hawaii and he would go get mats and get his place outfitted so he could practice at home. He got me involved. That’s another thing that’s great over there, you know you really realize jits is like the ultimate humbling.”

Being a movie star has its perks. One of the best perks for an MMA fan and practitioner would be training with a UFC champion, and that is something that Eastwood has experienced. When Eastwood was visiting Australia he was able to roll with UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker.

Eastwood is an avid health nut. He used MMA training to stay in shape and balance out a healthy lifestyle. He can be found talking about his training and lifestyle on his podcast called “Live Life Better with Scott Eastwood.”
