One of MMA's premiere European promotions is set to host one of their biggest events in recent history. On Saturday, June 3, KSW returns to the grand national stadium of Poland, PGE Narodowy, to host KSW 83: Colosseum 2 in an absolutely stacked card.
Close to 45,000 tickets have already been sold for this once in a lifetime event. The reason behind such fanfare is the epic trilogy bout that headlines the show. One of the pioneers of MMA in Europe, Mamed Khalidov (36-8-2), meets former UFC competitor Scott Askham (19-5) for a third and final time, putting an end to one of the most historic rivalries in MMA.
KSW did not just put on a high profile main event though. The co-main sees KSW lightweight champion Marian Ziolkowski (25-8-1) face interim lightweight champion and current KSW featherweight title holder Salahdine Parnasse (17-1) in a fight that fans have been begging for a long time.
The vacant KSW middleweight belt is also on the line when Pawel Pawlak (21-4-1) meets Tomasz Romanowski (18-8) as well as the KSW bantamweight title when Jakub Wiklacz (14-3-1) makes the first defense of his title against Werlleson Martins (18-5).
Just in case you thought that wasn't enough, five-time world's strongest man Mariusz Pudzianowski (17-8) clashes with former boxer and WBC heavyweight title contender Arthur Szpilka (2-0) in a match that is sure to end before the final bell rings.
It is an absolutely stacked card, filled with established and unknown quantities, in front of a sell-out crowd in a monster stadium. KSW is going big and is likely to host one of the most exciting MMA events in all of 2023.
