Former UFC fighter Karl Roberson has been arrested in connection with a robbery.
Former UFC fighter, Karl Roberson's next fight will be in the courts after he was arrested in New Jersey this week.
According to an official press release from the Howell Township Police Department, Robertson was arrested during a vehicle stop in Neptune, NJ.
"He was driving a vehicle that investigation revealed had been connected to the burglary," the press release says about a larger investigation. "During the search officers found a defaced 9mm handgun with an extended magazine, several packages of suspected 'crack cocaine,' marijuana, and items related to the burglary.
Roberson was charged with burglary theft, criminal mischief, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and several weapons offenses.
The burglary which Roberson is allegedly linked to occured on Dec. 26.
Home robbery was caught on video surveillance
"Preliminary investigation revelaed that entry was made to the residence by forcing a rear door open," the press release says. "Once inside the suspects moved throughout the interior eventually making their way to the master bedroom."
They allegedly stole over $200,000 in "exotic jewelry" and the robbery was caught on the home security cameras.
The co-suspect, Dathan Thompson was arrested at home "without incident."
The suspects were found using "advanced technical applications and analysis of cellular data."
The press release identified Roberson by his age and city, both of which match Roberson's UFC profile.
