Iasmin Lucindo is the UFC Vegas 78 fighter to watch

UFC Vegas 78 features veterans Vicente Luque and Rafael dos Anjos in the main event, but the card has several fighters that fans should expect to see in the UFC for years to come and Iasmin Lucindo is certainly one to watch on this card. She will take on UFC veteran Polyana Viana in an exciting strawweight fight that features two fighters who have combined for 17 finishes in their last 23 fights.
It’s not often we see a fighter so young with so many fights on her resume, but Lucindo has already fought 19 times as a professional with her first fight coming in 2017 when she was 15 years old. In that fight, she defeated a woman 13 years older than her by knockout, and Lucindo has gone on to win 13 more fights since then with eight being by finish along with five losses.
Lucindo burst onto the UFC scene in August 2022 in a losing performance to Yazmin Jauregui, but the fight was an exciting, and high-level striking contest leaving fans excited about the future of both fighters. Lucindo followed that fight with a dominating win over TUF 30 finalist Brogan Walker, and she’ll look to make it two wins in a row with a win over Polyana Viana.
Polyana Vianna wants another first-round finish
Polyana Vianna has won three out of her last four fights in the first round with one knockout against Jinh Yu Free and two armbar submissions against Emily Whitmire and Mallory Martin. Vianna is 4-4 in the UFC, but the 31-year-old has been on a nice run after losing three straight to JJ Aldrich, Hannah Cifers and Veronica Hardy, and a win will move her up in the rankings as that will make four wins out of her last five fights.
