Conor McGregor has come a long way since working as a plumber's apprentice in Dublin. Seemingly in a snap of a finger, McGregor broke into the UFC and blasted into stardom. It did not come as a surprise as McGregor had the skillset, work ethic, and charisma to become the sport's biggest star.
McGregor's celebrity status has gone past the hallowed gates of MMA fandom. The mass public knows about the Irishman who dresses to the nines, leaves the mic on fire, and gets paid a lot of money to fight.
With his fame, McGregor's family also lives in the spotlight. McGregor is engaged to his long-term partner, Dee Devlin. And the pair have three children together, Conor Jr., Croia, and Rian.
McGregor's fatherhood and expecting a fourth child
It is only fitting that McGregor passed his name onto his firstborn. Conor Jr. was born on May 6, 2017. He has been a staple in his father's training sessions since. McGregor's children could very well follow his footsteps into combat sports, but the 34-year-old will gladly support his children's pursuits.
"That kid of mine is going to do whatever he wants in this world," McGregor said in a Twitter Q&A. "I will support him all the way through whatever he chooses! I feel he will do it (fighting) tho. I feel his younger brother Rían will also."
McGregor had his daughter Croia in January 2, 2017 and the aforementioned, Rian on May 17, 2021.
McGregor is a proud father--often showing his kids off on his social media accounts. His kids are getting exposed to his life as a fighter at a young age as he has taken them to media days, open workouts, and other fight week festivities. While he can be brash towards his opponents in the Octagon, his children bring out the gentle side of McGregor.
On June 14, McGregor revealed on Live with Kelly and Mark that he and Devlin are expecting a fourth child.
“Things are going well,” McGregor stated. “We’ve got another one on the way. There’s a lot going on.”
