A former NFL player has pissed off the entirety of MMA Twitter by insulting not just Conor McGregor, but Ronda Rousey too.

On July 9, former No. 3 overall pick and a Pro Bowler Gerald McCoy, took to Twitter to blast the former two-division UFC champion.

"Connor [SIC] McGregor IS NOT one of the [goats]’s of this generation. Connor [SIC] was one of the first not one of the best. One of the most popular. Not one of the best. Compare his run to others and you’ll see. He men’s Ronda Rousey."

He doubled down on his criticism by sharing a GIF of Rousey getting knocked out by Amanda Nunes.

Firstly, we'd like to point out that Conor is spelled with only one N and McCoy is already showing his casual status with the misspelling.

Secondly, he's just plain wrong. McGregor may not be in one of the best right now, but you cannot argue that his rise was not legendary, historic and one-of-a-kind.

MMA Twitter roasted Gerald McCoy after terrible Conor McGregor opinion 'Just a casual'

And MMA Twitter was not going to let a football star damper the legacy of McGregor.

"L. He’s definitely one of the best. He won the title in multiple weight classes and defended. The ladies found out Ronda couldn’t box and that was the end of her," someone tweeted.

Another fan kindly wrote, "Sorry bud…but this is an EXTREMELY bad take! 3 men have been simultaneous 2 division champ in UFC history. He is 1 of those 3. All those men are GREAT. Love him or hate him…gotta respect."

"Conor McGregor made the UFC what it is," someone else wrote. Another fan said, "Just a casual.. this guy is prolly a khabib fan."

After getting thoroughly tossed around online, McCoy fired back with more evidence to support his claim against McGregor.

"Oh yea and for everybody who said I’m wrong about Conor not being one of the [goat]’s of this generation or ever…………. Answer how many title defenses he has………. A whopping ZERO!! Popularity you can’t argue but what actually happened in that octagon……….. Naw man. Not a [goat]."

There's no telling what exactly set McCoy off in regards to McGregor.
