Everything you need to know about Jorge Masvidal's Gamebred bare-knuckle MMA which takes place on Friday, May 5.

Former UFC fan-favorite Jorge Masvidal is staying busy in retirement. He's got a successful mezcal brand (Recuerdo), a boxing promotion that just did a huge event last month and now he's got the first-ever sanctioned bare-knuckle MMA card in Florida.

When does this man sleep?

In case you're not familiar, we sat down with Masvidal and talked about the card and we're here to tell you everything we learned that you need to know to enjoy the event.

What is Jorge Masvidal's Gamebred bare-knuckle MMA?

It's pretty much exactly like it sounds. It's a fully sanctioned MMA card without gloves. It works similarly to bare-knuckle boxing but follows MMA rules. Though this isn't the first event Madsvidal has held for bare-knuckle MMA, this is the first time it's been sanctioned ... and that's a pretty big deal.

The rules and rounds are the same as MMA (three, five-minute rounds) and they follow the Unified Rules of MMA.
