Mixed Martial Arts has built some entertaining rivalries that will stand the test of time. Michael Chandler vs. Eddie Alvarez will be a staple; that much fight fans will agree on.

With the controversy after a recent sexual assault allegation against Conor McGregor and him not yet re-entering the USADA testing program, it is looking like the fight between McGregor and Chandler could be in jeopardy or delayed to a unknown date.

It is unfortunate that the season of The Ultimate Fighter is at risk of not having the coaches that were advertised to fight each other. This kind of leaves a sour taste in MMA fans’ mouths and could have the show’s ratings decline.

Enter Eddie Alvarez

Eddie Alvarez took no time to send out a tweet from his personal Twitter to call out Michael Chandler once again. Alvarez announced that he will be a forever opponent to the current UFC star Chandler.

Alvarez went as far as even tagging UFC president Dana White, hoping to shine some more attention to a possible trilogy fight - this time under the UFC banner.

Alvarez last competed at BKFC 41: Perry vs. Rockhold, where he won by split decision against another UFC veteran, Chad Mendes. He is now a free agent.

There has yet to be a response from Chandler on if he would take the fight or even if there is interest in a third fight with Alvarez.

Both fights were in Bellator, with their first encounter taking place at Bellator 58 in 2011 where Chandler got a fourth round submission win. Alvarez evened the score at Bellator 106 in 2013 with a split decision victory. If fight fans are on the fence on whether there should be a trilogy fight, all they need to do is set some free time aside and watch both fights before coming to a decision.

Check out both fights that Bellator was nice enough to share from their archive for free so fight fans can step back in time and enjoy Chandler vs. Alvarez - even if the third doesn’t get made.
