Danny Sabatello got back in the win column with a big finsih of Marcos Breno on the Bellator 294 main card.

Danny Sabatello met Marcos Breno at Bellator 294 in a fight that the young Itallian-American needed to get back in the bantamweight title picture after his loss to Raufeon Stots at Bellator 289. For Breno, this was a huge opportunity for the 25-year-old in just his second fight with Bellator.

Breno opened up the first round with some smart leg kicks to try and keep Sabatello at bay, and avoid his wrestling. Sabatello counted with some leg kicks of his own to set up some takedown attempts. Sabatello was able to get Breno on the ground a few times, and eventually took his back a few times. Sabatello tried to lock in a few rare-naked chokes, but none of them were able to end the fight.

Breno was able to tag Sabatello to start the second round, but Sabatello leaned on his wrestling to take Breno to the mat and start working him with some short punches to the face. Breno was able to weather the storm, and locked Sabatello into a heel hook, but couldn't finish the fight. Sabatello then tried for a neck crank, and likewise couldn't finish the fight.

Sabatello was able to finish the fight, however, right after that with a rear-naked choke.

Danny Sabatello made people take note after his win at Bellator 294

Sabatello made sure that everyone knew post-fight that he wasn't a fan of Stots, nor was he afraid of Magomed Magomedov, who he wants to fight in Chicago when Bellator heads there later this year.
