Conor McGregor predicts winner of Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz
The face of MMA predicts the outcome of Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz.
Connor McGregor is no stranger to outlandish and controversial comments. In fact, all the Irishman has done since entering, leaving, and re-entering the UFC is make headline after headline for his sometimes ridiculous statements.
This one might resonate with many MMA fans though and will likely see them agree with McGregor. On Saturday night, whilst attending the Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia super fight, McGregor was asked about his thoughts on the upcoming Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz boxing match set to take place in Dallas, Texas on Aug. 5.
It was made clear that McGregor does not believe in the hype around Paul whatsoever. When asked to predict the outcome of the fight, McGregor told InsideFighting. "I think Nate Diaz slaps the head off him, and I look forward to seeing it."
Connor McGregor expects Nate Diaz to knock Jake Paul out
Despite losing in his first 'real' test against a boxer when he faced Tommy Fury in February, Paul still continues to be one of the biggest draws in all of combat sports. The former Viner turned YouTuber can still attract the biggest names in combat sports, especially if you are a recently retired MMA fighter, and finds a way to always have eyes on him.
it is no surprise that Paul was quick to turn down McGregor's prediction, telling the former double champion that he is the better boxer of the two, and he is coming for McGregor's head.
Whether Paul and McGregor will ever clash is extremely hard to predict and I'm more inclined to say it will never happen. However, who would've thought that Diaz would ever step into the ring against the YouTuber? When McGregor eventually retires from the UFC, I'd expect Paul to be the first number calling him for what would be a mega fight.
