Bellator has announced two big title fights slated to take place on June 16 in Chicago.

Bellator is returning to the windy city.

According to NBC Sports, Bellator is heading back to Chicago on June 16 for Bellator 297, which will feature two big title fights. Bellator later confirmed the news with an official press release.

Headlining will be light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov who takes on Yoel Romero. And while that fight is huge all on it's own, it's the co-main event that's caught the eyes of the fans.

Patricio Pitbull looks to make MMA history with third world title

Bantamweight champion Sergio Pettis will take on featherweight champion Patrício 'Pitbull' Freire for the bantamweight title. Pettis is returning from an extended layoff due to injury and Freire is looking to be champion of a third weight class. If he does it, he'd be the first fighter to hold a belt in three different divisions, in any major MMA promotion.

Additionally, Bellator's current reigning (and defending) interim Bellator champion Raufeon Stots will face Patchy Mix at Bellator 295 on April 22, which is the final of the Bantamweight World Grand Prix Tournament.

It's thought that the winner of Stots vs. Mix will fight the winner of Pettis vs. Freire to unify the bantamweight title once and for all.

That's so pretty big, exciting stuff for Bellator on the horizon.
