Daniel James scores yet another comeback finish, defeating Marcelo Golm in the main event of Bellator 293.
Two fights into his Bellator MMA return, two comeback finishes for Daniel James as he starts to surge up the promotion's heavyweight division quickly.
James, who came in at No. 7, scored a third-round finish of No. 5 Marcelo Golm in the main event of Bellator 293.
After Golm started off the fight with some leg kicks, the two battled within the clinch for most of the first round. While James briefly got Golm down at a point, Golm landed the better shots on the inside.

While James traded with Golm, it wasn't enough, and Golm continued to control the bout. But come the third round, after some urgency from his coach, a right uppercut made Golm see stars, as James followed up with several hard ground-and-pound shots to complete the come-from-behind knockout.
This echoed James's Bellator fight against Tyrell Fortune at Bellator 288 in November, with James landing the right uppercut in the second round after being dominated in the first.
Following the fight, James announced intentions to face Ryan Bader, and the heavyweight champ, who was in the crowd, seemed to respect the request.
