Who is Amanda Serrano?
By Amy Kaplan
If you follow women's boxing you already know who Amanda Serrano is. But my guess is that you don't otherwise why would you have clicked this story? That's what we are here for.
Serrano is one of the big names in the sport of boxing, and her name has grown even bigger due to her association with Jake Paul who is one of her biggest supporters and loudest cheerleaders.
She is the undisputed featherweight world champion, having held the WBO title since 2019, the WBC and IBO titles since 2021, and the WBA title since 2023. So yeah, she's kind of a big deal.
To top that off, she's the only woman (and Puerto Rican) to win world titles in more than four weight classes and holds a Guinness World Record for that accomplishment. At press time, she'd only lost two boxing fights ... she's won 44.
Amanda Serrano signed with the PFL in August 2023
But she's not just a boxer, she's also an MMA fighter and a wrestler. Her MMA skills got her signed to Combate Americas and iKON Fighting and on August 1 it was announced that she had signed with the Professional Fighters League to compete in the promotions Super Fight PPV series.
She's still young in her MMA career, holding a 2-0-1 record and a 5-0 record in submission grappling. But we expect that record to grow as her time in the sport expands.
