Zhang Weili vs. Rose Namajunas 2 | UFC 268

Rose Namajunas may not be given the same credit as Joanna Jedrzejczyk in terms of dominance, but her reign at the top was something to marvel. Namajunas has always been her own worst enemy but, at her peak, she has been a force.

The highlight of her career will be her back-to-back wins over current champion Zhang Weili. Not only did she finish her via head kick in the first fight, but the two standouts went toe-to-toe in the rematch, resulting in a split decision win for Namajunas. When you consider the ups and downs of her career, this will always stand as one of her greatest performances and wins in the UFC.

Namajunas is an extremely skilled fighter who has worked hard to deal with the mental side of the game. After getting slammed unconscious by Jessica Andrade, she would go on to beat her in a close split decision. After losing to Carla Esparza in her first UFC title fight ever, she would go on to lose again in her most recent fight, which some would call one of the worst fights in UFC history. The best part? Weili went on to beat Esparza for the title in her last fight which could set up another fight between the two.

Weili is currently scheduled to fight Amanda Lemos on August 19 at UFC 292, but, as a fighter, Weili must want to avenge her two losses to Namajunas sometime down the line, making this one of the best rivalries in the division’s history.
