2. Alexa Grasso

Currently the UFC women's flyweight champion, Alexa Grasso is undeniably one of the best Mexican fighters in the world right now.

Grasso has a brown belt in BJJ, and also fights with a boxing-influenced style. Competing at strawweight, Grasso made her professional MMA debut in late 2012 and had an undefeated five-win record before taking a brief hiatus from the sport.

In 2014, Grasso would join the Invicta FC ranks, where she would continue her undefeated run over three more fights. In 2016, she had signed with the UFC and would go on to have a number of fights before making the move up to flyweight in early 2020.

Grasso found success in the 125-pound division with three more wins added to her record and, soon enough, she found herself challenging the champion, Valentina Shevchenko. Grasso was a heavy underdog but pulled off a massive upset by forcing a tap from Shevchenko late in the fourth round.

Being the first Mexican woman to win a UFC championship and currently being number 1 on the women's pound-for-pound rankings, Alexa Grasso is an undeniable trailblazer in Mexican MMA and amongst the best there are right now.
