1. Donald Trump helped out the UFC early on

The former president credits the survival and the eventual success and boom of the UFC to White and the Fertitta brothers. He shared that in the infancy of the UFC, the organization struggled to find locations for its events and offered to help.

"They couldn't get a venue because of the danger. People thought it was so dangerous, and they happened to be right about that. I supplied them with a venue. And, I think it was for a few of the fights, maybe even five early fights," Trump said.

Formerly known as the Trump Taj Mahal located on the Atlantic City boardwalk in New Jersey, it hosted four UFC events in the early 2000s, UFC 28, UFC 30, UFC 31, and UFC 50.

"Now it's a phenomenal juggernaut. It's incredible what's happened. I give tremendous respect for the initial group and for Dana. I don't think anybody could have done what Dana did."
