Professional Fighters League has added a bright new star to their roster, Saudi Arabian MMA star  Abdullah “The Reaper” Al-Qahtani.

In the past few weeks, it seems that the Professional Fighters League has been winning in the MMA space. Following their end-of-the-season PPV event which was a massive success, the organization has announced a few key signings. The biggest was the announcement that YouTuber turned fighter Jake Paul will be joining the roster as a fighter and as the Head of Fighter Advocacy. Paul will no doubt bring a lot of eyes to the promotion and all fighters on the roster will benefit from that, especially a bright young star that was recently added as well, Saudi Arabian standout fighter Abdullah Al-Qahtani.

Who is Abdullah Al-Qahtani?

Al-Qahtani is seen by many fans as the best fighter in Saudi Arabia right now. He is a featherweight with a professional record of 5-1. Most recently he was fighting in Brave FC, a prominent regional organization that has been known to feed the bigger organizations such as PFL, Bellator, and the UFC. Representatives from PFL spoke out about this signing and how important it is for them to continue to add fighters from the Middle East.

“The Professional Fighters League is committed to growing the sport of MMA and the PFL globally,” PFL CEO Peter Murray said in a press release. “We are excited about emerging top fighters coming out of the Middle East and our plan to further develop the sport in the region.”

Al-Qahtani already has his first bout set with his new promotion, he will face Denis Jurakic in Serbia on February 18. They have announced that he will continue to fight in Brave FC while fighting for PFL.  Al-Qahtani is making history as the first Arab fighter to sign a dual-promotional agreement to fight in two different organizations.
