UFC 282: Jan Blachowicz vs. Magomed Ankalaev live results.

Two of the UFC’s finest live heavyweights square off on Saturday night for the vacant title following the injury and subsequent vacation of former champion Jiří Procházka.

After a considerable shakeup the day before Thanksgiving, UFC 282 will see a new UFC light heavyweight champion crowned when Blachowicz and Ankalaev meet in the main event.

After winning the title off Glover Teixeira in their incredible bout in June at UFC 275, Prochazka suffered an injury and vacated the title. After negotiations with Teixeira, the UFC elected to move up a non-title Blachowicz vs. Ankalaev bout to the main event slot for the belt. Teixeira is slated to meet the winner in 2023.

Blachowicz has won 10 of his last 12, which includes a run with the title between 2020 and 2021. Blachwoicz won the then-vacant title at UFC 253, scoring a second-round TKO of Dominick Reyes.
Blachowicz then became the man to end Israel Adesanya’s then-undefeated MMA record when he scored a decision win in their UFC 259 superfight. Blachowicz, however, lost the championship to Teixeira at UFC 267.

Blachowicz most recently defeated Aleksandar Rakic via injury TKO at a May Fight Night card.
Ankalaev has won nine straight after dropping his UFC debut, and 18 of his 19 MMA fights overall. Ankalaev most recently TKO’d Anthony Smith at UFC 277.

In the co-main event a rising British star, Paddy Pimblett looks to continue his winning streak by facing off with Jared Gordon for what could be the biggest win of his career.
